Debit card not accepted

Hello, trying to open a seller account and I have added my debit card and have put my acct as
individual seller but it won’t accept my debit card. It says

This could be either due to incorrect details or lack of bank’s permission for respective marketplace

I have clicked on Amazon.co.uk site so its the right marketplace

When I first put my card details in it said it could not charge the card and then I noticed it
said on my account that I was Professional instead of individual so I changed it to individual
and added my card details again but still won’t accept it. I haven’t a clue what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help

Debit cards are normally accepted as a charge method for Seller Accounts, unless pre-paid.

However, you need to make sure that there are enough funds, internet payments are approved and that the card is fully activated.

New cards need to be activated by entering the pin code, otherwise they will be unable to get charged.

two points - as Kika says - if it is a new card then have you activated it by using in a a shop and entering your pin code. Wont work for on-line activity otherwise.

Secondly - as you originally signed up for the Professional account then Amazon will be taking £30 from you immediately (you can probably get it back later but they will charge you first). Do you have at least £35 on this card readily available.?
