Amazon Buy Shipping Reusing Shipping Label Numbers URGENT
So I encountered an issue that I've never seen before. Today after buying shipping via Amazon Buy Shipping, a customer contacted me saying "this order shows as delivered Feb 10... i need a new tracking number"... It was an order I had JUST bought shipping for TODAY Via BUY SHIPPING... so I check the tracking number and sure enough, it's been used already.
After canceling that label, and buying shipping via Pirateship after Seller Support was useless, I bought shipping for another order that had come in and decided to check it... Sure enough... IT TOO had already been used. So then I went back and checked ALL of my orders for today... ALL of them - all 6 were ALREADY USED LABELS. I ONLY buy shipping through the Amazon Buy Shipping Program. So I CALL seller support, and they are at a loss. She says they'll have to have the INTERNAL TEAM address the issue. Meanwhile, my ONLY option to not get hit with a METRIC hit for LATE shipping is to CANCEL ALL of these labels and and REBUY them elsewhere. And because They Are USED, USPS is going to deny the refund. So I'm out $26 worth of labels today.
I also check YESTERDAYS orders... ALL of them are affected too! EVERY ONE. I shipped those. I can't get them back. I'm going to be hit with the shipping fees on ALL OF THOSE TOO Assuming USPS doesn't just OUTRIGHT return them for FAKE POSTAGE that I ACTUALLY PAID FOR on AMAZONS BUY SHIPPING PROGRAM! This is an absolute NIGHTMARE. ONE AMAZON created!! I can't use buy shipping right now, so I'm NOT protected from A-Z's on these orders. I'm ALREADY out $26 for today that I won't get back, and looks like I'm gonna get charged $26+ for yesterdays orders as well once USPS catches up on those if they don't just RETURN THEM ALL...

I have almost 200 orders - I hope Amazon covers these when a lot of AtoZ claims hit. Been on hold with SS for almost an hour so far.

I shared this and related threads for review. IT help if you could share any Support Case IDs you have filed with specific order/tracking details, as well as if you have seen this for any carrier besides USPS.

this literally just happened to me recently. i had hundreds of orders i needed to refund because my shipping labels got reused by amazon! i spoke to USPS and they said that should NEVER happen. I lost a lot of money in label postage and order traction!

We have the same problem on Feb 24 and today. Also I checked all the cancelled shipping labels on 2024, none of them refund. AMAZON email just said the label was in the shipping stream, but we never use them. I guess that is the same problem.

I just found out I am having this issue aswell. A customer contacted me to let me know the tracking number shows it was already delivered two months ago when the customer just recently placed an order.

Turns out this is an "Amazon Only" issue. No other shipping service has this problem.
Perhaps another plan by Amazon to "delight the customer" with free stuff because it hasn't arrived on a date that is weeks before they ordered it...
