Is this theft or just a condition of selling on Amazon - Return at first scan (again)?
Yet another refund at first scan item has not actually been returned to us, however Amazon have taken the money. Simple I thought, the SAFE-T process will reimburse us as tracking shows that the item has never been delivered back to us.
After ‘thorough and rigorous’ review by an 'account specialist’ the claim was denied and we have been told (yet again) that we need to make a claim with the carrier.
This is for a £25 order.
Tracking clearly shows that the package has never been delivered back to us.

It seems to me that sellers have a simple choice for every one of these return at first scan refunds where packages are not delivered back - accept that Amazon will take your money or sell somewhere else. Is it just something that we need to accept or is it something that we need to take further? The evidence is unequivocal.
We have been told repeatedly by Royal Mail business customer services that Amazon need to make the claim and we cannot claim for a missing package that we did not send.
As this issue seems to come up repeatedly on the forums and it is not the first time that I have posted about it, I am interested to know people’s thoughts and find out whether anybody have actually managed to successfully claim from Royal Mail for a label that they didn’t purchase or use.
Has anybody actually successfully made a claim with Royal Mail for a label purchased and provided by Amazon? Presumably if you don’t have a Royal Mail account this is impossible anyway.
You wouldn’t take money from a buyer if an item was not deilvered, so why would you take money from a seller if an item is not delivered?
The situation seems familiar…

No - I went through many, many emails with Royal Mail explaining the difficulties in trying to claim, as a recipient, I can’t claim, I;m not the sender and the label is not on my account - every step of the way, I advised there are just roadblocks in the claim process to actually claim.
