Verification Process Nightmare

I am asking for help from anyone who has gone through this “process”. I keep getting asked for more and more information. I have submitted my details in the form of bank statements, government-issued ID, passport and drivers license.

For our company, I have submitted the company resister, shareholder details, application detail and bank details.

Still, I keep being asked for more every day, twice a day. My ID that was accepted for travel visas for the US is unacceptable to Amazon. It beggars belief.

Amazing that they were able to charge my card and bank account.

Does anyone have any suggestions other than submitting DNA information?

Regards,

Sorry I can’t help - but I feel your pain. 7 days now I’ve been trying to get them to understand that I cannot upload any documents in their seller verification form. Had dozens of replies, not one has come close to understanding the issue. Just stock answers.

Is it maybe how they’ve been provided - screenshots v photos of original printed docs?

Anyway, if you find a way of getting hold of a real person with a brain to deal with your issue, let us know how you did it!

Well I have given up. I have asked and replied. Uploaded, downloaded and offloaded every peice of paper. I have received the same email over and over again to upload documents but no reply to why any of them are marked invalid. They have all been PDF and sent direct to the verification team who still won’t clarify what the issue is.

I recieved this from one of the staff -
" I can see that you have uploaded the Current Appointment Report but this does not seem to be saved in the section. I would kindly ask you to go to Settings>Account Info>Identity Information and upload the document again and save. ".

I have asked where it went. No one can or is willing to tell me. They have not only our corporate info but personal ID, bank information and tax information already sent but where its gone is anyones guess.

I have escalated this but to no avail. Same pre-formatted reply shows up and we start again.

I have sent email to managingdirector@amazon.co.uk, (4th letter and a tiger sound)@amazon.com as well as escalation, verificaton, seller services and anyone else who just might answer my questions.

Sorry Amazon but if you aren’t even willing to answer my questions, how will you deal with my customers or shipments or any other part of the system I would rely on you for?

I have instructed my suppliers to hold shipment as there is no way I would trust it arriving when a passport is not good enough for ID. Its a shame because It really does put us back.

Hi everyone
Am so glad to hear it’s not just me going through this nightmare…as an amazon customer for 17 years and a previous seller whose account was simply deactivated through non use, I have been amazed at how complex this whole process has been. At one point, I actually contacted amazon uk for support as I was seriously worried I was being hacked by a malicious third party, as the information they were requesting was so personal.
My good news is after submitting my passport details (heavily focused and non cropped as it was rejected for both reasons initially) and a PDF of a recent bank statement (not any other statement like a credit card/general one, as this will be rejected too)…I was actually advised I was active today… :grinning::+1:
My joy was short lived however, as despite being told this, and that I had to update my credit card details (which I did straight away), then receiving an email to say my account was now ‘fully reactivated’…it has now stopped me putting my first item up for sale as I apparently don’t have an active account…:frowning:. I really hope this is just a time delay thing…will check again tomorrow.
Good luck everyone and I hope some of what I’ve said in terms of Amazon Europe’s requirements is helpful to others struggling with this…

Tourism vs Taxes

One is actively encouraged, because many people happily hand over their money, so has a ‘relatively’ low barrier to entry.
The other is heavily policed, because many people won’t, so has some quite extreme requirements (especially for non-residents).

As an update to this issue, after many emails and finally having someone from verification call to and identify the issue, our account is up and running. It took a lot of effort but worth it in the end as this person listened to the issues we were having and took them on board clarity emerged. Once that brief conversation started then the issue could be resolved. let’s hope that this is the start of a more positive experience.
