Are building societies just the same as banks for Amazon purposes?
I’d like to know if I can replace my bank account by a building society, for both my buyer + seller accounts, to pay for my orders & receive my payments.
(For example, would Nationwide Builing Society be acceptable?)
I have found nothing coming up at all searching the word in the help section.
Thanks.

As long as they work in the same way as any other bank account, I don’t see any problem. The Amazon help pages don’t include any restrictions regarding building society accounts either.
However, everything needs to exactly match with the information entered in your Seller Account and the update may trigger additional verification.
I would advise you to review the following help pages where all instructions and guidelines regarding deposit methods are listed:

We have a business account with Cumberland Building Society. No problems with Amazon or any other platform, supplier, merchant services provider, etc. We have all the facilities that we would get from a big bank, with better treatment.

I have Nationwide BS account and all payments for Amazon FBA sales have been credited to this account, no problems.
On first sale FBA to Amazon.de I had to update IBAN which was easily provided by Nationwide

IBAN and BIC are not relevant to UK sellers. You need an account number and sort code. Unless you open accounts that are based in other countries if you trade in the other Amazon sites.
