Which thermal printer to use for Amazon buy shipping labels
Morning all,
Would be very grateful for advice on which best value but good quality thermal printer (and rolls of labels) to use for Amazon buy shipping?
I have had a look around the forum posts but unable to find the info.
I use a Dymo 450 but as far as I can tell I need a 6x4 printer which the Dymo doesn’t support. Always used the Dymo for address labels and shipped first class signed for paid at the Post Office but now running into problems with VTR due to the postie failing to get signatures, or confirming delivery.
Thanks in advance of your help.

I have a Zebra GK420d and use the free labels from Royal Mail (if you have an account)

Yeah you can get 6x4" thermal labels anywhere

Dymo do a 6 x 4 printer the 4XL but I would not recommend it.
Our Dymo 4XL is now just a redundant spare incase any of our Zebra GK420d break. We didn’t find it very reliable and it didn’t perform that well and you have to buy special labels for the Dymo
Zebra GK420d is a reliable work horse.

Thanks for posting this Monty,
I was thinking about this only this morning as I am currently printing, cutting and taping the labels on
Thanks for all of the comments too as I now know which one to go for

Citizen CL-S521 is the best 6x4 label printer. I’ve been using it for a few years. I print DPD, Royal Mail Hermes and Parcelforce labels with no issue at all.

I’m glad this thread has been created, I’m also contemplating the investment (currently using a standard printer with either 23x64mm or 99x139 (6x4) paper depending on whether it’s an fnsku label for FBA or a UPS label). This is becoming quite a pain considering i’m sending on average 50-100 units a week into the FC’s… My question is (it may be a stupid one so apologies if it is) Is there such a thermal printer that will print both of the above label sizes? If not can someone recommend a thermal for the FNSKU labels? (the GK420D seems like a strong contender for the 6x4s)

Another vote for the GK420d here. Going almost 10 years n still the label printer here. Solid reliable workhorse.

The zebra labels readily available from dodgy sellers on eBay if you don’t have the rm account. Even though you are small fry might be worth looking at click and drop as believe they give you a discount code for the zebra.
