How to change a Local Selling shipping template

Amazon has onboarded me to their “Local Selling” program. In the Seller University program, it reads:

For Local Selling, sellers are exempted from entering in tracking information only on Local Selling
specific orders with the assumption that the seller is delivering the orders themselves or has a trusted
3
rd party carrier. The order must be tied to a Local Selling shipping template in order to be exempted.
The template must also be a freight template. If you are experiencing VTR issues on Local Selling
orders, check the following:
1. Ensure it is a Local Selling offer. You may have a –SL on the end of your SKU to help you identify
the offer.
2. Check if the SKU tied to a Local Selling shipping template.
3. Verify the shipping template is a freight template for Local Selling. If it is a parcel template, this
will cause VTR issues for Local Selling sellers.
4. You may have mistakenly added the tracking information. Make sure to leave it blank.

Amazon created my Local Selling shipping template for me. They named it “Local Selling - Parcel”. The university text clearly states that a Parcel Template will cause VTR issues…and that I should make sure it is instead a freight template. I’ve looked over this new shipping template, and I find no place to adjust it from Parcel, to Freight. Has anyone else had to do this?

I thought if you delivered yourself, that you must use their app at the time of delivery.

I do think that the freight and local are different. You may wish to reachout to the person that onboarded you to the program. If that fails, you may wish to try the large and heavy template.

We only use normal carriers for this program. Although our last was to an address within a mile of our warehouse. We just used USPS Connect Local. The carrier was in a good mood that day and just delivered it on his way back to the PO. Order to delivery under 2-3 hours. No feedback. Ugh!
