Neg. feedback- can I just create another listing?

by Seller_1c6W8gp82dQLz

My product has received two negative reviews- only one of which I can reply to which isn’t being shown on the product page and another which is but I can’t even respond.
My product was selling fine with 0 reviews and two new negative ones are really going to put people off.
I genuinely have no problem with the product, I use it myself and they smell nice. I wouldn’t sell it if I didn’t think it was fair. You know if they want refunds fine- it’s not you you- whatever.
Just two negative reviews, one from an account with only one review
So instead of contacting the seller / Amazon they just moaned on the review- I get it that’s life but it’s going to really damage the sales of a perfectly good product.
So what can I do, apart from the obvious damage control by replying to the customers publicly?

Most customers are smart enough to know that you can’t please everyone. If you end up with 20 reviews and 19 are negative then start to worry, you’ll find that most won’t even leave a review and some of them will be a star with no comment (this drives me mad, probably a result of Alexa who’s recently started asking me to review things at the most annoying of times)

It sounds like they are both from the same person, the one you can reply to is feedback on your performance and the one you can’t reply to is a review of the actual product.

If the feedback is entirely a product review then you can request it’s removal but if it contains even one thing that is related to the service provided they won’t do it, it needs to be entirely a review.

Regarding the review, what have they actually said? Is it something you could put right for them and then ask them to take it down? However disgruntled you are feeling you need to take some deep breaths and then kill them with kindness to try to turn it around.

You can not make a new listing. Well technically you can (assuming you are gtin excempt) but should you and what would amazon do if they caught you is another matter

You will get negative reviews there’s nothing you can do about it, however 1 negative review about a smell wouldn’t put me off,

I have things that only have 1 negative and 1 positive review and sell well.

I even have a 1 star review that says great

You’ll get 1 star reviews that say nothing, so you are going to have learn to ignore them. I don’t even check anymore

If the listing is new, you could sign it up to the early reviewer program to try to get some good reviews to outweigh the bad ones?
Early review program: https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/early-reviewer-program/dashboard
Just a heads-up but the cost is fairly high:

Each enrolment costs £60 plus any applicable taxes.

However it can be worth if it your product is high value or high volume.

Essentially Amazon bribe customers (with gift vouchers) to leave reviews on the product.

Thank’s for every reply. Really helped turn my perception around. I really thought I might as well take down the listing. I know I’ve got to toughen up a bit, even though logically I know I could never make every customer happy, with anything- it’s still a bit crushing to get the negative review!
