New Account - Account Suspended - Credit Card Invalid
Hi…hopefully someone can help…have just set up a new account - and it has been suspended straight away.
I get the message, that my credit card is invalid - but I have verified it for all EU sites, and a nominal amount taken from card to verify it.
When I click on help I get message that account is suspended.
And can only ask questions about this issue. Then when I select issue I get sent back to starting screen, saying I need to update or add new credit card.
So, I have added an additional credit card, and changed the charge method for each EU marketplace to this new card. Again, the card has been verified for each site (nominal amount taken from card)…but I still get the same message that credit card is invalid…and am still unable to use my account.
I am stuck in an endless circle, and am unable to contact anyone to get help to resolve.

There seems to be a few of these credit card invalid posts lately, which makes me wonder if there is an issue on the website somewhere.
Being suspended is normal for new accounts, so don’t panic. Don’t keep adding credit cards either or you will be flagged for suspicious behaviour and your account be terminated permanently.
Add the information they ask for (except the credit card) and wait for an email where they might ask you for more information regarding your identity and your UTR etc if you are a business, it can take weeks (used to be months!) before an account is fully up and running, so just be patient.

Hi Books2Buy_UK,
I am also facing the same issue and have verified my card multiple times. Payments got deducted from card but this cycle is not ending. Would Like to stay in touch with you in case you find some solution or I will share with you if I find some answer.

Hello @Books2Buy_UK,
I’m Patrick from Amazon, here to assist you.
Going through your post I understand that you have concerns with your credit card issue.
I kindly request you to go through our credit card FAQs to identify the issue.
Please refer :
We verify your credit card based on the following requirements. Violating one or more of the requirements below will result in your card being denied by Amazon.
- The number that you entered should match the number on your credit card.
- The billing address that you entered should match the billing address on your credit card statement.
- The CVV code you entered should match the code on your credit card.
- The card expiry date should be at least six months from when you add the card.
- The card holder’s name that you entered should match the card holder’s name on your credit card (in the Latin-script alphabet).
- The card should not be a prepaid, virtual or gift card.
- The card should be chargeable in the currency of the Amazon store(s) for which the card is being provided.
- The card should have an adequate credit limit to pay for the charge.
- If you were asked to enter a unique security code by your financial intuition, the code you entered should match the code sent to the card holder via SMS, email or token.
If your card meets all the requirements above but is still listed as invalid, we recommend trying a different card or contacting your financial institution for assistance. If you have tried at least two different credit cards that meet the requirements above and all of them were denied, contact Amazon Selling Partner Support for assistance.
If you need any further assistance, you can post here so that we or any of the sellers on forum can help you.

Hi @Pat_Amazon.
Thats for taking the time to reach out, I have gone through the credit card FAQs - and meet all the requirements. I have tried a couple of credit cards as well. As per @Suverno_Ltd, the credit card verification fees have been deducted by Amazon (for each of the EU Marketplaces) - as I understand it, this proves/checks that the credit card(s) are valid.
Since my first post, I have also had a message from Amazon Payments on 17/9 saying they have charged by card £0.19 - to settle account balance. I assume this is one of those verification charges, as I have no activity on my account.
However, I still have same problem and the account remains suspended saying Credit Card is invalid.
You advise in your post to contact Amazon Selling Partner Support. I was wondering how I do this - as on my dashboard I cannot ask any questions as account has been suspended?
Thanks for any help
