What does this mean....Amazon just bought my item
Why has Amazon bought an item from FBA? The buyer details are name: Amazon, Ship to: Amazon EU S.à r.l., UK Office Dunstable
Has anyone had this happen or have any idea why?

There are different programmes within Amazon all of which do similar things.
For Amazon FBA Export you see the details of the buyer
For Amazon Global you don’t see the details of the buyer you only see Amazon as the buyer
For a FBA export order the buyer is buying it off you normally via the UK Amazon site.
For an Amazon Global order the buyer is buying it off an Amazon international site. Amazon then buys its off you and sends it to the customer.
There are also other programmes for selling outside of the UK. It is confusing but Amazon buying the item off you directly is not a problem and nothing to worry about.

It happens all the time, you are probably signed up to allow Amazon to sell your products globally.
If Amazon have brought the item they have probably sold the item to a buyer on another marketplace and are shipping it directly to that buyer.
You can opt out of this programme in Settings->Fulfilment By Amazon->Allow Amazon To buy my products to sell globally

What you describe has occurred before, and I normally see the details of the customer who bought the item. This happened when customers bought my item from Poland, Dubai and Slovenia - all marketplaces which I am not signed up for, I could see the name address etc of the international buyer on the order.

Thanks for explaining the difference, that’s useful to know.
