Simply inaccurate Customer Review

What is the best way of dealing with a customer review which is just simply inaccurate ?

I am all for feedback, and I have no problem with negative feedback on my products … but when a customer leaves a bad review with 1 star because of the SIZE of the product, when THEY clearly didn’t read the product description which clearly tells about the sizes … then surely There is a way to get that feedback removed ?

Any advice ?

If it doesn’t break a rule then it stays.

I know just how you feel - as it’s happened to me on a few occasions.

Unfortunately - you’ll just have to suck-it-up and accept it. Amazon won’t remove the review no matter how hard you try. Unless it’s against their policies - and from what you’ve put it’s not - they won’t budge on removing it.

Their response is - customers are entitled to leave a review based on their opinion.

The best thing is to just put it behind you - and concentrate on your business.

One of my products in US - received a number of bad reviews at the start (frustratingly from Viners) due to them not reading the listing, and the instructions I sent with every unit. I was sitting on 3.2 stars - over time it’s raised now to a 4.4 - so you will get there - if your product is what it says it is and is a good product.

Just be patient and don’t let this get you down - no matter how much it annoys/frustrates you.

All the best.

Buyers don’t look at feedback really anyway, the only reason for trying to get it removed is if it is affecting your ODR too much

We get a lot where people are clearly talking about an order with another seller but I just don’t bother getting them removed anymore, seller support never listen anyway

I had a buyer leave a negative review (including pictures) of a completely different product. It was clearly a different product from both what the buyer wrote and the images they provided.

Even though I pointed this out to the badly myopic Amazon rep they refused to remove it. So unfortunately the chances of getting your removed are probably zero too.

@Just_L_vit why not try to get it auto removed via Feedback Manager - then you will know for sure. You may be lucky

Are you talking review or feedback, your question mentions both? If its a review, then not a chance, I’m afraid. I had a 1 star review complaining the size they received would not fit and the listing was deceiving. The reviewer said " I couldn’t get into these if I jumped off a roof into them "The product I was selling at the time was BIRD SEED. Took it up with Amazon for months, in the end gave up. It’s still there today

Not sure if I have missed this but have you simply asked the buyer to remove it?

If you think the customer made a genuine mistake, it would be worth emailing the customer.

PS: I do not think Amazon will ever allow an external “independent” third party to adjudicate because Amazon do not want to give control of such an important part of their trillion dollar website to a potentially biased external party.
