Buy Box Win % for own product!

I am really confused, I am the only seller of my product, have impeccable feedback and performance, yet my buy box fluctuates daily from +96 to -65.

This has a massive impact on my sales…

Any ideas?

Joanne

Hi Joanne
Are you positive it has any impact on sales?
I am the only seller on my listings and I now ignore the buy box and it makes no sense and seems to have no impact on sales

We have been having the same issue and this is SS response
SS: Further, I would like to inform you that, If 10 buyers view the detail page of one of your listing. In those 10 buyers, 5 buyers have US ship to address and 5 buyers have a Europe ship to address. Here only the buyers with the US shipping addresses will be able to see you winning the buy box so your buy box percentage will be 50% for the listing.

My client is private label, FBA.

SS then said this - Please be informed that, you need to enable International shipping in your shipping settings. To enable international shipping, please follow the below steps:

  1. Settings
  2. Shipping Settings
  3. Click edit template
  4. Enable International Shipping and add your shipping rule (After you click the Edit button, the options to offer international shipping will appear towards the bottom of the page)
  5. Save

As my client is FBA private label these settings on the international options seem low and expedited too quick. (Im checking on that)

FYI: Prior to new year we were always 100%.
also
Your inventory levels can affect this - If your starting to run low, and are out of stock say in London, your listing won’t show the buybox for that area, and it will drop your percentage.

The buy box is a complete mystery to me.

I have gone from 100% in Netherlands to then 0% two days later. This isn’t just in the Netherlands, but elsewhere too.

I’ll never understand it.

Mine fluctuates around the high nineties too, despite me being the only seller, but it doesn’t seem to have any impact on sales.

Sales dropped off a lot over the half term (they have picked up now), could it be that?

Just another thought, do you have any new competitors with faster shipping? My best selling line flatlined recently when someone listed a very similar design with next day delivery. I have had to send half of my stock to regular FBA (instead of S&L) to claw my sales back (and it’s worked!)

Hi
This happens to us and always has, (last 8 yrs) it doesnt quite drop that low but often isnt 100%
looking into it before it seemed to be to do with how visible to actual listing is.

So on a day when no one clicked on the listing on those days our Buy Box would reduce (which would also explain the loss of sales), so on holiday settings our buy box reduces down to nearly zero.

Hi, If you have stock that has been returned damaged or damaged in the warehouse then Amazon will sell it if they have reimbursed you for it and then they win the buy box even though you maybe the only seller

If the competitors listings are more policy compliant than yours, they will be shown ahead of you in search which will affect your sales.
Listing compliance will also affect your eligibility. You still have a lot of listings whose main images are without white backgrounds

I’ve always fluctuated in or around the mid 90% but recently i ran out of stock on a couple of listings and it dropped to mid 60% its taken a couple of months to slowly recover after coming back in stock. im private label so have no competitors except amazon who occasionally list a return on my listings. Have you run out of stock recently
