How to report a customer

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to report customer.

We sold two items to a customer which are dated with the manufacture date. We have had returned two similar items with dates 3 years and 12 years old.

We have told the customer and sent images of the returned items but fear we may encounter an A to Z over this.

I would like to get in first and report the customer.

Unfortunately, I don’t think that reporting a buyer would help you prevent an A-Z claim.

However, if you want to do so, you can open a case with the Seller Support. The Case ID then can be mentioned when defending a potential A-Z claim or appealing a feedback.

Reporting the buyer sadly is a fruitless exercise. There is the option to report messages through the messaging service, but this seems to never seems to trigger anything. At least it hasn’t for us.

Amazon’s teams are all separate, and there seems to be little or no communication. Opening a case on seller central in our experience doesn’t help prevent the A-Z Claim, contest it, or help in negative or neutral feedback being removed.

If anyone knows otherwise, then please let us know.

had the same thing happen to me last week with german customer. I reported it to SS. Their reply (below) gave me the courage to give buyer partial refund. They have yet to complain.

Greetings from Amazon Seller Support,

I understand your concern is in regard to Amazon return policies wherein buyer return a damaged product

I would like to inform you that as per Amazon return policy if the returned item is not in the same condition you have sent and if it was not damaged while delivery, you can refund the buyer as per the item condition you received. If the return item is not resale-able, you can deny the refund. Moreover, if you have listed the item correctly and buyer after receiving the product claiming that she does not like it, buyer is liable to pay the return postage fee as well.

For more information on Returns policy go through the help page from the link below -

If buyer takes any inappropriate course of action for you like leaving negative feedback or file any A-Z claim, then you need to represent yourself with all the documents and proof(tracking details). I assure you that we will definitely take your side because as seller you have not done anything wrong. If buyer leave any negative feedback kindly write back to us and we will remove it for you. You can quote this case ID: xxxxxxxxxx if the buyer take any further action.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you need any further help. We will be more than willing to assist you. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and I wish you continued success with all your endeavours.

Dont waste your time with Amazon.
