Selling on existing product - but new packaging
Hi,
I am a new seller and I have two questions that are linked to each other.
The product I am trying to sell already exists on amazon however it’s EAN on amazon doesn’t match with the barcode of the product I have so can I still list under this ASIN?
secondly, if a product that is already listed on Amazon has new packaging? can I still sell under the same ASIN or do I need to create a new listing? the new packaging would change the dimension of the pack. something to add other sellers on the listing might be providing the old packaging shown in the pictures. it is essentially a pack that has 12 identical looking cans. the cans are still the same size however the layout is changed that they are stacked on top of each other instead of all in lying together.

If it has a different EAN, then it’s a different product, even if it looks similar, so no you can’t use the same ASIN existing listing.
You need to check if these ‘similar’ listings are the same brand as the listing you are referring to and not another sellers ‘private label’ brand?
If the EAN already exists and is on your product, then you can’t create a new listing with the same EAN.
