Changing Legal Business Entity/ Company Number and VAT number
Hi all,
Has anyone been through the process of changing their LTD Legal Business name with Amazon. We haven’t changed it yet, I am just preparing now for what I can only foresee will be a nightmare with Amazon. Most of the forum questions focus on changing from Sole Trader to LTD.
We need to change from Ltd to Ltd. Completely new company set up, not existing company changing their name.
We also have the brand registry for the brand we sell on Amazon.
I am hoping we don’t have to go down this route but due to other reasons it may be something I am not able to avoid and therefore I want to get all my ducks in a row to ensure it is a smooth process.

More like the four horsemen of the apocalypse ! Any changes, however small, seem to be causing mega problems these days so I would think very carefully about this one. We want to change our bank from one where we pay £7.50 a month in charges (for the bank to do absolutely nothing) to one where there are no charges. However, we will not do so because of likely issues in verification. Better the devil you know, sometimes.

I’m not sure whether this is allowed as it could be classed as transferring a selling account to another person (e.g. a sale of a selling account). Are the directors and shareholders of both companies the same? What about creating a new seller account for the new company?

There is a ‘transfer account’ option in my settings. This looks like it requires me to make a disbursement from newco bank account.
I can’t see anywhere in the account details regarding shareholders, I am the original founder of the business and but don’t recall sharing with Amazon any company structure etc.
