Amazon Sponsered display ad spend had doubled whilst being paused
Hi Guys
I tried amazons promotion for sponsored display ad for a day, which was a £50 credit for a display ad before the end of august , it wasn't really successful so at around £47 spend I had paused the ad and was done with it, However after stepping away from the desk for 3 hours I have come back to check that the ad spend had doubled to £98 whilst being paused!! which not only broke daily budget but by double the amount.
The alleged credit was also not applied and amazon had taken the money straight out. I'm tired of speaking to support, honestly as they normally are not very helpful.
Anyone run into anything similar or any clues as to what happened?

I don't do ads, but i'd be surprised if the spend updates itself in real time. Hopefully someone can confirm.

I dont really know how it all works, but certainly the spend can still be tallied up after you pause it. I took amazon up on an offer for credit before and it never got applied either. I have used sponsored credit offer this past month and it was applied this time. It can be down to the details in the fine print perhaps.
There is a tab in the payments section > advertising invoice history > then select "Promotion credits" to see the state of your usage of the promotions.
