Creating draft listings

Hi. I don’t always get a chance to work on my listings un interrupted. On Etsy I use to save an unfinished listing as a draft, but that option does not seem to be available here. So I thought I could use the upload template to do majority of the work as and when, but I jsut read now on the forums that this doesn’t work for handmade. So is there a way to save partially worked listings or do I have to set everything up as I go?

Thanks!

Hi Taitaya

The good news is that Handmade have recently updated to allow for bulk files/templates. You do have to use the specific handmade template though. It is not advanced enough yet to allow for creating customistions on a listing in the bulk file however, so you can use the bulk file to create your listings (allowing for time to save as ‘draft’ as you prepare your listings) and then once created, you can then manually add any custom options that you wish to offer your handmade buyers.

To down load a handmade template for bulk upload please follow these steps within your seller central :

Seller central > Inventory > add products via upload > click on the tab ‘Download an inventory file’ > under Product Classifer click on ‘Handmade’ > click on the relevant sub category e.g. Jewellery > charms etc
Click on ‘generate template’ > open in excel > see the tabs at bottom of excel file to see instructions, data definitions etc.
