IP Complaint - Parallel Import
I have a couple of listings where I've bought items through an Amazon business account (with no prime benefits) from Amazon directly and then listed them for resale under the same listings. The brand owner has raised an IP complaint against me for "Parallel Import"
Here is a direct quote from the Amazon policy details on "Parallel Imports" which can be found here: (https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/G201361070?ref=ss_ahd_pp_intel_prop#mnd_2jc_jcb-6)
"The laws in the UK are very similar to those in the EEA. IP rights owners may prohibit you from importing or selling their goods in the UK unless you, your supplier or an upstream supplier have the rights owner’s consent to sell the items in the EEA or UK (that is the products are “exhausted” in the EEA or the UK). It is important to note that a rights owner can prohibit the sale of an item that you sourced in the UK in Amazon’s European stores outside UK if they have not consented to the sale of that item in the EEA."
So, as you can see from Amazon's own policy, because I have purchased these items from Amazon directly (and a UK VAT registration number is on their invoice), and because Amazon has the IP right to sell, I also have the IP rights to sell because I have purchased from a "supplier or an upstream supplier" who has consent. This means that the IP right owner cannot prohibit me from selling these items, that is unless Amazon themselves are prohibited and they're breaking their own rules?
I keep submitting my invoices and seller support keep sending me copy & paste replies and not even acknowledging my issue. Also emailed the managing directors email and had no reply.

Amazon do not accept invoices issued by themselves as a valid supplier I'm afraid so will not accept your submission.

Absolutely as above. You cannot (or should not !) buy on Amazon to resell on the platform.
