Making sales when FBA Inventory is 0

I have two issues.

I have FBA inventory on an ASIN which sold out, I then sent a replenish shipment which was received a week later, however during this time of 0 inventory, Amazon continued to show my listing and customers were able to purchase the item. Why wasn’t the item shown as out of stock?

Similarly, I had an ASIN which was FBM. I then changed it to FBA, but Amazon continued to display my listing and the week during which it was shipped and is currently being processed, the item has been available to buy and many customers have bought it. How can I ensure that the item is not available to buy when there is 0 inventory? Also, will Amazon be retrospectively fulfilling the orders?

I would be grateful for any help.

Because they knew stock was arriving soon and can continue to sell under the in stock head start program

Yes they will. They probably showed the buyer an extended delivery date

Once your stock has been collected by the courier I find that they list it for sale, they know on average how long it will take to arrive and be available for dispatch, if you look into the actual order you will see “Amazon’s ship by date” its probably a week or so in the future

Yes, thanks. I’ve got 30+ orders which are showing as pending (payment pending) for more than 3 days and Amazon has now received my stock and has the same number reserved under customer order, with the remaining showing as FC Transfer.

Is it payment from customers that’s delaying the fulfilment (can’t be the case for 30+ sales) or does the FC transfer need to complete before the stock becomes available and the reserved number are used to fulfil the orders?

Also, I had one sale on the other ASIN which hasn’t been fulfilled, as the available stock went into FCA Processing for no apparent reason, despite 34 units of a 35 units inventory shipment were all fulfilled.
