Verification of credit card
Hi,
I am a brand new seller and recently verified my American Express card on the 13th December. I verified in all countries UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Poland and Sweden. When I clicked verify on each one it worked successfully. However, in ‘Charge methods’ when I clicked on Belgium it gave me the message :
'Your card could not be verified. Please try again- occurred at Thu Dec 15 2022 11:04:10 GMT+0000 (Greenwich Mean Time) . ’
I rung American Express and they confirmed there is nothing wrong with the card. When I then click on Global Accounts it confirms that I am allowed to sell in all Marketplaces including Belgium .
Also if you look at the picture of the flag next to all the countries, it lists the names correctly e.g: 'United Kingdom apart from Belgium which is labelled 'country_name_be .
I know Amazon Belgium launched recently in October so wondering if it may be because of this?

By the information provided we understand that you are unable to function in the Belgium marketplace as usual, this could be due to a requirement in updating the existing credit card information or add a new credit card, please refer to the button which would be visible “Update Credit Card info”
This will give you more insights as to why your information/ credit card is causing the issue.
