Can I sell on Amazon before becoming VAT registered?
Hi,
I’m running a newly started business and want to start selling via Amazon. I am not yet VAT registered and won’t be until around the new year. Is it still possible to sell on Amazon before becoming VAT registered? I’m struggling to find a way.

Yes, you can sell on Amazon without being VAT registered.
You would only need to register for the VAT if you are an overseas seller storing inventory in the UK or once you exceed the 12 month threshold of £85,000.

It all depends on your physical location.
If you are a non UK based business but wish to send goods to UK FBA then you MUST be VAT registered first.
If however you are a UK based business below the £85000 turnover threshhold then yes, you can commence selling prior to VAT registration if you want to.
