Veeqo shipping software is now FREE!

Just wanted to make this visible to anyone who isn’t already using a shipping fulfilment software, we were not using anything for a long time, then an issue with one of our couriers led to us looking around and we found Veeqo.

I genuinely wish we had found it and started using it sooner, as it saves us countless hours each week and simplifies all aspects of shipping MFN orders across all sales channels, we have been paying over £300 a month to use it, but now Amazon have bought it out and made it free ( not a trial, the whole thing for free), which means we no longer pay any fee at all for something we were happily paying for. I would assume that they will be making money by integrating carrier options for you to use and they put a margin on this, but you can integrate and use your own carriers anyway.

I have to say, it takes a little bit of setting up to get it right for you, but the support is very good, fast and responsive, and know what they are talking about.

If we had started using this ( or another software) sooner, our business would have grown faster, it’s a great opportunity for any young business to try something like this at no cost or risk at all, even if they end up using a different one afterwards.

I won’t provide a link as I have no affiliation with Veeqo, other than as a customer, you can easily google it.

We were looking at this recently. It looks really good. The Xero/Quickbooks integration is interesting as our current solution does not offer this and it would be a huge time saver.

Can you create listings on marketplaces? This does not seem to be a feature, which is important.
Does it save customer order information?
How long have you been using it for?
What’s the interface like?
Is it reliable?
Does it manage stock effectively across Amazon, eBay and websites?
How many SKUs do you have?

I think my concern would be whether it will remain free in months/years ahead.

Its a good system however has very limited functions. You can not change invoice format or use 4by6 paper

We have been using Veeqo since it was in beta back in Feb 2015.

Great system and we integrate our listings on Amazon and eBay - as well as with 3 Shopify stores.

Integrates with Royal Mail, DPD, Parcelforce and other couriers perfectly.

Oh looks like inventory management is coming in November, so may keep an eye on it.

I really only need software for inventory, I post everything through Royal Mail so easy enough for me to use Click and Drop , currently pay another company which I do print my labels through but I only have them for the inventory side of it, would be nice to save over £1k a year if I could!

Oh wow, that’s interesting news. We were big Veeqo users a couple of years back, but shifted elsewhere after some reliability issues and their relatively high cost compared to other similar solutions.

I think we’ll seriously consider moving back!

Yes it’s a great order management platform that we migrated to from Channel Grabber (now Cloud Commerce Pro) which we gave up on when CCP took over. Our only concern is that if Amazon have bought it and it has become free, then we have become the product.
This opens a data safety issue for us as we don’t want Amazon to know our suppliers are (which I assume they will have access to throught he Veeqo Software) our monthly sales, skus and of course our other platform sales such as ebay and our main websites.

In essence it will give Amazon an overall picture of your entire business structure form purchases to sales and everything inbetween (if they want it).

Just a thought, but also a strong possibility, why else would Amazon want the Veeqo software?

Yeah worries a bit how its free - they say its because they get a cut of the postage, but surely they don’t get a cut of my discounted rates with Royal Mail?

I don’t use Amazon buy shipping because they are more expensive than my account and 1st/2nd class post goes direct to Amazon instead of through my account at my discounted rates. I worry that Veeqo will end up the same, providing a “free” software in return for buying postage off them so that they get a cut of it and the bulk discounts from the companies. I would also worry about the claims process if it ends up that Veeqo are the customer of UPS/DPD etc and not us - would it just be the same problems that people face now on Amazon…

I don’t think Amazon are looking to necessarily profit in the short term for the Veeqo acquisition.

They are more than happy to throw a few million pound without immediate income at a very important part of the order management chain that will eventually reward them.

In the first instance they will be looking to increase their logistics provision across ‘other platforms’ - eBay, own website etc. Secondly, they will look to move more transactions away from other platforms towards Amazon. Lastly, they may look to integrate Veeqo seamlessly into the Amazon ordering system as an end-goal.

Ultimately, the only thing we do know is the Amazon think they will profit from this.

so when you sell an item on Ebay does it remove the stock from Amazon?

Or is it only keeping a master listing for your own information?

Anyone who has moved from channelgrabber was there a easy way to migrate all the information of your products such as cost and locations in the warehouse
