Approval denied to list in baby feeding category

Hi I have requested multiple times to sell baby weaning/feeding bibs under the category baby feeding. I designed those bibs for over 2 years and got them produced with the help of a chinese factory. I have sent them an invoice, pictures of the bib front and bag, picture of the label that has got warning and washing instructions, the fabric its made of plus made in china on it as well as q picture of the packaging that has got multiple warnings on it. Furthermore, the brand name is on the bib front itself. The invoice I sent is of 500 products with it stamped (although digitally via pdf). I applied for approval both as being the manufacturer and distributor as well as being just the distributor and got denied approval both times. Amazon wont tell me why its been denied. Any help? I have got them all made already and they are ready to ship. I am desperate at the moment because I would be happy to change/add whatever is necessary to get approval but without them feeding back what the issue is, I’m really left guessing in the dark…

Some categories are harder to get approval in than others.
As a newer seller, some of them are even harder still.
You need to have a bit of a selling history, before they will even consider you.

And things like baby products, are one of those.
So I would suggest, that you try selling other goods in the meantime, then once you have some history, attempt approval again.

But what exactly did the rejection state?

I believe Neil is correct but, while you are building up a sales history, you could take that time to get your logo trademarked in order that you can apply for Amazon Brand Registry.

You could also use the time to check that your CE marking is the correct one (and that you have been given all the relevant paperwork that proves the testing has been done) and that it is not just the China Export mark. If it turns out it hasn’t been tested there are people that can point you in the direction of a lab in the UK so you have all your ducks in a row when you reapply.

I just not got this email upon requesting the reason for denial of approval:

Hello from Amazon Selling Support,

We understand your concern is regarding category approvals for baby weening products.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Upon checking, we see that there are additional restrictions on the mentioned category.

We request you to please go through help page called “baby products” on your seller account.

Please provide all the documents mentioned on the help page for next approval request.

Thank you for contacting us.

Please let us know how we did.

I am not sure what other documents I need to send as I thought I had sent all of them. The only issue might be that my products do not have the address of my company on the label. But they state made in china as they were produced in china (but designed by me in the uk)

I’m a bit confused as your website has you based in the US but your address on Companies House is in Bristol? Did you mean to be posting this on the UK forum or US?
