Reducing Europe VAT Footprint to Keep Business Viable
I'm a US seller that decided to try selling in Europe. I started in the UK, but then when Brexit happened, I took the plunge and registered in 7 European countries. Over the years, paying for VAT tax services has gotten more and more expensive, to the point that it is hard to justify operating in Europe when about half or more of my profit goes to accounting fees.
My question is, can I deregister my VAT in all European countries besides Germany, un-enroll from PAN European FBA, only ship my products to Germany, and then enable FBA Export to still support selling in broader Europe. The end goal would be to only have to manage VAT tax payments in Germany. For reference, in past years my European sales have grossed around $25,000 USD. I'm hoping that is low enough to avoid the threshold requirements that would force me to pay VAT taxes in European countries besides Germany.
