Unfulfillable item
Hi everyone
I’m a bit annoyed with FBA on this. They despatched a product to a customer via FBA and then they refunded the order the very next day.
Now 2 weeks later the item is in unsellable items and we wont get any reimbursement due to “Amazon policy”.
This product was 100% perfect and its clearly been damaged in Amazon transport or the buyer has swapped out a product for a faulty one. Amazon wouldn’t have shipped it if it was damaged when receiving it from us.
Is there anything I can do? We are out of pocket on it and if this is how FBA operates I might as well give up now just as I start.

What is the reason given for it being unfulfillable?

Hi Demel, it says the below in the email
We want to let you know that your Fulfilment by Amazon inventory listed below became unsellable within the past 7 days because it is no longer in sellable condition.

Hi Khol, you should get the item sent back to you (removal order) so you can have a look at it yourself.
If the customer has indeed swapped the item, you should be able to claim for reimbursement. If the customer who received the item also commented that the item was damaged before you received it you should be able to use this as ammo for your case.
Amazon are fantastic at running over your products with a forklift truck ETC in their warehouses and then declaring the units as ‘distributor damaged’ or ‘defective’ or ‘damaged by carrier’, none of which are eligible for reimbursement - conveniently.

So I received the product back and there is nothing wrong with it which is good news.
I have since had another product (different product) refunded and also stating its unsellable.
Do Amazon just say things are defective? Do any products just get put back on the shelf or is it easier for them to just say its no good so we have to get it returned to us?
