Why does it look like I have been charged fees twice?
Hi all, I’m new to amazon selling and fba and so I thought I would dabble a little with some retail arbitrage mainky to just test and use the systems.
So I bought a couple of board games and put them on. They are high demand items and a couple of things happened that I don’t understand. Hopefully someone can help clarify as the amazon support email appears to be crap.
Firstly,
I was tracking a shipment. It was only two cases I sent, one with 13 items and one with 9. The first one receipted fine, the second one took about 4 days and then it received and was showing in stock, then the stock disappeared and I cannot find where it went in orders or transfers or anything. System says I cannot reconcile until 27th dec. which is useless pre-Xmas
The second issue, which is more important is it looks like amazon has charged me fees and tax twice on each sale. The 13 items that went into stock, sold quickly on other EU sites. Mainly Spain and some in Italy. On my orders it shows amazon base amount fee and then tax, then below it another similar amount of fba fee (base amount) and then tax. So it’s almost a third of my sales value. Seriously affects profit. This can’t be correct surely ?
Any thoughts appreciated

Could you post a screenshot showing the erroneous charges, to see if someone can help you?

Pretty heavy if they are basically charging fees twice plus tax !
I thought the commission was a referral fee which is fair enough and then fba was based on the storage size and duration etc. So in theory that should have been a small charge as the item sold immediately
Thanks for your help, I think I might need to read in detail all the fee literature

Back to the first question. Missing stock
The items were purchased as retail arbitrage, amazon receipted them, they showed on the inventory and then disappeared and amazon stated that the item is in a restricted category.
I sent them the receipt from the shop as proof of purchase and the state they need the manufacturers or distributors information stating originality… this can’t be done on a retail purchase ???
Also stock still floating in the ether …

Update
Amazon have now accepted that they have lost the inbound items and have offered a £72 despite the value actually being £211
Where do they get their reimbursement values ?
Poor service
Seller_hSHB6i0raYKWI
The value they have reimbursed doesn’t even cover the cost value
I’m not sure that’s fair
