Quick Tip: Set and edit Notification preferences

img

Hello everyone!

Every day we all receive multiple email notifications; some of these are more business critical than others but are still necessary for day-to-day operations. Editing and updating your notification preferences allows you to indicate how you would like to receive notifications and alerts about your Amazon Seller account.

You can add different email addresses for each of the notification types available in your account. This will allow you to specify the appropriate destination for notifications. It is also possible for you to opt out of receiving emails for a number of notification sections.

The types of notifications available to you depends on your selling plan. The following list contains some of the available notification types, regardless of the type of selling plan you have:

Order Notifications: Alert you when you receive an order. You can also enable alerts for Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) orders and inbound shipments.

Returns and Claims Notifications: Notify you when you receive a return request for a seller-fulfilled order or when a buyer has disputed a charge.

Account Notifications: Business and technical alerts on issues that can affect your business, such as periodic tips about new features, schedule changes or outages, and more.

Emergency Notifications: During large-scale events that might impact orders or shipments, we need to ensure we have a reliable and accurate Emergency Contact phone number so that we can contact you quickly. This phone number will not be visible to buyers and can be different from the other phone number(s) on file for your seller account.

To confirm which notification types are available to you, go to Notification Preferences.

The contacts tab contains the Merchant Default Contact information. Only primary account users can change the default contact email address.

Do you use the same email address for all notifications or do you vary them? What notification do you absolutely need to have enabled – let us know in the comments!
