New - Auto Return Authorisation

Hi! Does anyone know how the ‘New Auto Return Authorisation’ works?

Amazon now auto authorise our returns but I am not sure whether I am supposed to be doing anything with them? I have received nothing from the customers and they haven’t chased the return/refund?

Am very confused?

Thanks

if the customers have not actually returned them back then you don’t need to do anything
they will come off the dashboard after 50 days

Can anybody clarify Amazon’s Return process plesase - it seems to have changed and the option for them to provide a label at a cost of £3.35 has been removed and we are being told to upload a label… I’m not sure if I’m missing something and the Amazon £3.35 label is being provided by them as it’s auto-authorised…
I’m concerned that if I generate another label we get charged twice, once by them and then for the click & Drop label I’ve generated…
Plus, it causes confusion as to which label the goods have been returned on…
BUT I’m really concerned that if I don’t upload a label AMAZON WILL REFUND THE CUSTOMER IN THE BACKGROUND AND WE ARE NOT TOLD (Amazon’s fees & charging policies are so muddy and obscure that it is likely we’d never know, which is deeply unfair for remorse returns and ones where we have genunine concerns that the customer is scamming us!) Thank you in advance. Liz

Is it a UK order?

I have a couple on Germany that say in red “LABEL REQUIRED” no idea why these haven’t been auto refunded as per the others, only got a couple saying this.

I too received a Return notification - with the big red “Label Required” box
It also had the big green, with the green tick, “Auto Authorised” box.
This is a UK order.

Does anyone understand the process?

  1. I thought if auto authorised, then Amazon provide the label - Yes ? No ?
  2. There is now no longer the option to ask Amazon to send out the pre-paid label ? ? ?

Finally, selling cosmetics, which cannot be opened or tested before return, how would I deal with a requested return, auto authorised, where the reason for return is “Performance or quality not adequate” ? ? ? ?
Clearly this buyer has used the item.
If defective (unlikely) then they are due a refund, but most probable is they tried out the item and did not like the shade.

Any suggestions?
