Ungating Issue - Lancome

Hi,

I have submitted an ungating request for Lancome and have been denied even though there are plenty of smaller sellers on their listings.

I have purchased the products from an authorised distributor, 10+ units. Is it because there is another product on the invoice?

Could it also be that when I am trying to ungate, the brand name is showing as "Lancôme" and "Lanc\xf4me" and not showing as the proper brand name (Images attached). Do I need to get my supplier to change the name on the invoice to that name and resend the invoice to me?

Amazon has not provided me with an exact reason? Their response is attached in this also.

I have used the same invoice to ungate another brand, However, Lancome seems to get declined.

Case ID: 10529964362

Case ID: 10530396322

Any helps is much appreciated.

Kindest regards,

Sean

What is the brand on the actual listing, is it the misspelled one or actually Lancome?

Also, if you are a new seller you might not get approved in Beauty straight away

So ô is a HTML Special Character code to return an o with an accent circonflexe. I'm fairly certain \xf4 also is something along those lines.

So its likely in the backend of Amazon somewhere - that is how it displays. And its not out of the realms of stupidty that front line seller support will look at that and go - well the brand doesn't match.

All you can really do is point this out. Now - it could be that Lancome are stricter on who sells on amazon and you won't get ungated - bu the above to point out that the brands being displayed in the system backend include HTML.

I think it's Lancome the problem. I have just tried a few brands and Max Factor, Wella, L'Oreal, Nivea, Estee Lauder etc allow me to sell straight away. Lancome and Chanel are gated, and Clarins only allows Amazon to sell.

I have a bit of sales history in beauty as well and very rarely I encounter gated products but I tend to go for much smaller brands. If you are new, I would start from smaller brands and build a history before facing the big guys.
