Trade mark enquires
Greetings everyone
I have 2 products on Amazon that I have decided to get trademark for to deter hackers as I am already a victim
One brand is say
JAAJA Kitchenware and the other is
JAAJA KIDDIES
Obviously both are in 2 different categories ( home and kitchen and baby product)
My question is
1. Can I trademark just "JAAJA" to provide protection for both product or I need to trademark them individually
2. How much does it normally cost to trademark a brand
3. Does Amazon provide trademark services or do I have to brand register with Amazon once I have trademarked my brand
4. How much does it cost to enrol on Amazon brand registery
Thank you in advance

Trademark laws are complicated. As you have posted this on the UK forum the information below has come from the UK Government IPO website. Though registering a trademark here will only protect you in the UK and Isle of Man.
But in answer to your questions.
1 - You could just trademark JAAJA yes - but you'd need to identify the relevant classes to register them in. A class is a grouping of product or service types, ie clothing, computing etc
2 - According to the IPO, at least £170. This will vary depending on the number of trademarks and classes you register in. They also offer a starter service that helps you identify any potential infringements (ie same or similar trademarks in a class you want to register in)
3 - Look up Amazon Brand Services IP Accellerator - that is the only offering they have I think
4 - Brand Registry is free

33/3 lists totally valid points
You can check the UK register yourself for any potential duplicates and decide whether to proceed, it's easy to do.
You have to pay to 'apply' to register a trademark, and this is the £170 cost. If your trademark fails, you do not get it back. If you reapply then you pay again.
Amazon will not offer any services, neither will anyone else. It is all done through the IPO full stop, don't let any greedy third parties get involved.
Your name JAAJA will probably be fine, the other words might be but thats down to the IPO. You can't use anything too generic like for example 'The Kitchenware Shop'
The whole process will take about 3 months, as you have to wait around 2 months while your application is advertised to anyone who will wish to object.
(I've used the IPO on several occasions, had a couple accepted and one annoyingly denied!)
