Separate product listing or Variations?
Hi,
We currently have 2 separate listings of a similar product (different sizes), and we’re about to launch a 3rd (which will be a smaller size).
These have all been created separately, but I’m wondering whether it would be better to have these as variations of the same product?
What advantages/disadvantages might this have, and is it also possible group existing products together as variations?
Here are the three products:

Your thoughts and opinions much appreciated!
Cheers.

This is entirely your decision, you are the one who knows your products.
Do you think that your customers would be willing to purchase more, if they saw all the available options on a single product page, compared to them being spread over separate listings?
The main advantage is having everything together on one listing. Product reviews would be still divided by variations.

There is the upside of combined BSR but the risk of cannibalising sales with people choosing the budget option.
You will need to ensure the value add of the more expensive options is clear.

Two good points Kika and Sansar. A) Merging the listings could help customers see other options and possibly spend more, or B) This could have the opposite effect and let customers go for the cheaper option.
But I suppose either option could apply, therefore having the overall effect of helping customers clearly see the other price options. It’s tricky.
Currently we would have 3 separate listings that could appear in searches, but if merged we would only have one, right? So there’s less chance of clicks?

Our sales were higher in May & June, but then fell for July & August. However they are still up on last year.
So I’m not sure! May & June were quite big months for us so I was hoping the change would only cement the numbers. I guess we have to see how the rest of the year pans out to truly compare it to the previous year.
Amazon is recommending that we send a lot of stock in comparison to what we’re used to, so lets see what happens next

I could never get the spreadsheet method working, and I really did try. I’m pretty technical too (a web developer by trade), but I have to admit I was flummoxed. Just didn’t want to accept anything I uploaded.

BabyCasts,
How are you finding things since you merged everything now?
I’m considering something similar and your insight would be great
