Account deactived - Need letter of authorisation from the Pokemon company
My seller account has been deacrivated due to the use of Pokemon trademarks in my listings, even though i am selling official Pokemon products supplied by one of the biggest suppliers.
I have contacted the Pokemon company who say that all resources needed to sell online are available from my supplier. I have then contacted my supplier who states that they cannot provide me with a Letter of authorisation.
I have been struggeling to figure out how to get one for many years, with dead ends. Yet other sellers on Amazon seem to have got this document because they are selling Pokemon products under their own brand.
Id really appreciate some help on this as my familys income is on the line.
Thanks

You need to look at your product and see who holds the license, their details should be on every product. Contact them and they will provide you with a letter of authorisation.

What exactly is the notification you received?
Does the EAN number of the product you listed against, match the product your selling?
Is the listing actually branded as Pokemon, or is it another brand, selling pokemon cards?
Do you have an example ASIN?
To add to that, of the image you have provided, are you actually listing it on B09CLJTFDY?

They shouldn’t be doing this, Amazon or Nintendo will catch up with them at some point.

Sorry, I’ve just re-read your post. Are you asking your supplier for a letter of authorisation to sell the Pokemon brand under your own brand?

The image & brand is correct though.
The information they provide states -
‘’ Why is this happening?
Your ASIN is removed because we suspect your listing for this product infringes on the intellectual property of others. The listing of this product uses the protected copyright image of another rights owner on its product detail page. We have not been able to confirm that you are authorized to use this copyrighted image on the product detail page. Unauthorized use of copyright image is likely to cause confusion as to the source, endorsement, or affiliation of the goods. Infringement of copyright image is a violation of Amazon Intellectual Property Policy.’’
Should i acknowledge the complaints and take the metrics hit ?

Couple of years ago, a brand reported one of my list to amazon and the list was removed. I rang amazon they suggested to acknowledge the complaint and review all my other lists see if have any similar problem.

I sell a good amount of trading cards including pokemon each year. I have experienced many years ago the downfall of selling single cards and so totally changed my business model. They are not fit to sell on amazon as each card does not have an EAN and explaining that they come from a pack of cards is like talking alien.
There are many sellers that have been creating their own listings for single cards and they stay around for a few years until they get hit with what you have experienced. I am sorry to say you will not get your account back.

Do you actually have the proper license and distribution agreement with your supplier (who if as you say is the official supplier for Pokemon)?
Your supplier may verbally say that it is ok for you to sell, but without a proper legal agreement, that means nothing. Without any sort of legal agreement, you are simply not among the licensed distribution channels.
Getting your hand on a genuine official product does not mean that you have the license to sell it as an official retailer for the product.
