EORI number in the UK - which address?

Hello, we are an Italian company with UK VAT and EORI numbers.

Now, we are trying to import our goods to the UK (to the Amazon UK fulfillment center), but the Customs Office is saying that our EORI number, which has an Italian address is not valid for this kind of business (instead of the UK VAT number has a regular UK address).

Can someone help me, and explain what and if anything is missing?

Yes.

We have:

the UK VAT number and related UK business address;
the UK EORI number with the Italian address.

We think that during the registration of the Eori number, our fiscal agent made some mistake …
