Read onlyThe day before yesterday, I found that the 2 best-selling items inside my account were suddenly removed from the shopping cart by the Amazon system, both of which have been selling for 1-2 years, with pretty good user ratings and product feedback. After I double check the account, there are 4 items lost cart at the same time, 1 of them is still participating in the BD promotion, and there is no lisitng adjustments recently, and I didn't receive any bad comments or feedback from the users. 4 items lost cart at the same time is beyond my understanding, and it feels like I'm being punished by the Amazon system, but I didn't receive any performance notification in my account. performance notification.
It's been 2 days now and everything is still the same, sales keep dropping, during this time I keep requesting in the case for Amazon officials to help me investigate the exact reason, but I always only get the cold formatted answer, informing us that there are many reasons for the lost carts and they are not at liberty to tell.
These 2 days have been the hardest time I've ever had, I'm so anxious that I can hardly sleep because the sales revenue from my Amazon account is the source of income for my entire family. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my account?

I've seen a few threads refer to items being 'removed from the shopping cart' and not sure what that means. Do you mean you've lost the Featured Offer/Buy Box?
It seems there are now 10-20 threads to a similar effect over the last week - which would suggest something is going on. What that is, only amazon could advise, and it doesn't look like they are particularly forthcoming. I know they are having to make changes to the featured offer algoritm soon, and if I was guessing - they've done something as part of those required changes that has knocked the featured offer off loads of sellers.
As above reply, check out the forum and you will see many threads about the same issue. This presumably does have something to do with the new ruling that Amazon have to comply with after the court case.
Personally I wish they would totally do away with the Buy Box/Featured Offer, and let customers choose which seller/product they want to buy from, with no algorithms pushing towards a particular seller.
Check my megathread on the issue, trying to get the attention of Amazon to look into this https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/seller-forums/discussions/t/fef42466-78b7-489e-8969-016a1298fac5?
Hello @Seller_4xba5LNKF5XTg,
Thanks for reaching out with your concern. @Spencer_Amazon is on the case and working to resolve it.
Could you kindly provide the ASINs affected so we can proceed with our investigation?
Best regards, Ezra
Personally, I would take this as a harsh business lesson. Improve your business model so you're no longer 100% relying on Amazon, theres onbuy, ebay, shopify, wholesale etc where you should diversify.
Absolutely, I have my portfolio of sites and social media with the same brand. I have not invested the time they need though recently but it's a winning strategy in the longer term. Especially as in my case I have my own exclusive products as well and I have been creating websites for over 20 years. My problem is that there are too many options and I tend to get excited about new ideas and end up having too much on my plate. Now I am forcing myself to only focus on two projects at the time while I keep Amazon going without spending too much time on it.
I think the important truth that some people, especially on YouTube, forget to mention is that you can make money online and create a proper business but that requires lots of time and effort, some trial and error and some good ideas. Then the sky can be the limit.
Yep, I do everything, from graphics to sending orders, social media, cleaning the databases, writing articles, research products etc. And I do like learning new skills.
I think that many people are scared of having a website and if they decide to have one, they might choose Shopify as it looks easier. But there are so many hosts that offer managed hosting for Wordpress + Woocommerce, they basically install the site for them and offer support if they have problems.
And the satisfaction of paying only 1.5% commission, having no A-Z claims, no deactivated listings and so on is priceless.
Amazon changed the criteria for getting Buy Box/ Featured Offer. They had to do it in accordance with European Guidelines. Nothing we can do. It will take time to understand the new criteria. I'm paying attention everyday the fluctuations of my buy boxes to see if I can learn how the criteria changed. As many sellers, I lost a lot of them as well.
