Greetings Sellers!
To follow up on our previous discussion, I wanted to share more best practices for reviewing and understanding the reports associated with your shipping metrics. Our initial thread provided the required steps to download the report while offering guidance on understanding the Late Shipment Rate (LSR).
In this edition of the shipping metrics, I will be discussing the key aspects of the report to review when looking at the Valid Tracking Rate (VTR).
To start off, I would have you review the original discussion regarding downloading the report if you are unsure how to proceed. The button for downloading can be found in the bottom left corner of the metric you are looking to pull the report for.
Note: The option to download the report will not be available on shipping metrics if you have not completed seller-fulfilled orders as shipping metrics are not impacted by FBA orders. Additionally, the report will show as empty if you have fulfilled orders but no defects currently impacting the metric.

For VTR, you will have several columns of information available when viewing this metric (from left to right): Order ID, Carrier Name, Tracking ID, Origin Country, Promised Delivery Date, Ship Method, Ship Option, the next four columns are in regard to VTR criteria, and then finished by the Package Value and Product Category.

When investigating concerns related to the VTR, it will be important to review the Order ID and Tracking ID related to each order impacted. In addition, you will want to review the various VTR criteria to try to further identify where the issue occurred.
The tracking information should be able to be verified to the specific supported carrier you have selected and should have been entered prior to the order being delivered to the customer. The metric target for VTR will be over 95% which does mean you could see ‘at-risk’ banners appear on the account health page if the metric were to slip below the target.
As a reminder, this does not immediately indicate that action is required as the banner is intended to inform you of the risk your account faces. If you encounter any issues, I encourage you to review the report and orders associated to try to identify any breakdowns that could have occurred in the process.
I do hope you have found this information insightful and that it assists you while you attempt to navigate your various metrics. If additional assistance or guidance is needed, I would encourage you to create your own discussion post so that support can be provided to you.
