Pointless having feedback software now?
Hi, I wake up this morning to find 100’s of emails stating messages couldn’t be delivered as buyer has opted out of unsolicited emails. So I guess its pointless paying for feedback software now?
these feedback software companies are going to lose a hell of a lot of business!

Probably yes
If lots of companies are/were using this sort of software, it increases my sympathy for the change in policy, as IMO sending emails to customers requesting feedback, is of no value to the customer at all.
Unfortunately it has made life more difficult for all other sellers on the relatively few occasions when it is necessary to contact customers

Easy! These companies now just need to add IMPORTANT to the subject title.

Amazon blocks messages we would quite like the customer to receive.
At the same time, Amazon sends us a message telling us our message to the customer was bounced. We can do nothing with this message, other than bin it.
I would laugh…

Doesnt surprise me one bit.
A world run by robots is exactly what this company wants,
What with Amazon not wanting contact between buyer -seller and now this checkout-free grocery stores .
The future to me is looking more and more like a sad place to live.
Why bother with people at all,
upload us into micro chips at conception and pour the rest down the toilet .

I read somewhere that Amazon doesn’t mind one email being sent per customer. We used to send a useful product information email and a feedback request. Now just the useful info and get very few bounced emails. I think Amazon are quite right as, as a customer, I find feedback requests very annoying. But I wish Amazon changed their own feedback request email as customers are not clear that there are two options - seller feedback and product reviews. Most customers leave product reviews in the seller feedback thinking they are leaving a product review.

Exactly what I did with Feedback Express. Easily resolved.

I have never chased customers for feedback. From a personal point of view, if you chase me for feedback the best you are going to get is “Neutral”. People just don’t do it on Amazon like they do on Ebay. It is a pointless metric as it only works one way but it is another tool that Amazon use to turn the thumb screws on us.

PMSL just got an email from amazon to say that you responded on the forum Westvale
WE DO NOT NEED THIS, FIX THE F***ING buyer/seller messages

Amazon already send emails asking for feedback and product reviews, and buyers can opt out from them if they no longer want to receive them, I don’t think you need to send a further email. I don’t think customers would like to get 2-3 emails every time they order something purely to request feedback.
Unsolicited emails are one of the reasons the messages don’t work as many people have marked them as spam over the years because of these sorts of emails, and that means email providers consider messages from amazon as spam.
I buy lots of items and i then get bombarded with emails and messages asking for feedback, never respond to them as it would be a full time job in the first place.

Hello there ,
Worry not about the large , awfully well funded software companies my friend, but rather (as we do) write to customer’s individually - We have alomst a 100% success rate en we do.
When we launched new products, we hand write on every invoice. And still do.
Mind you we sell less than 100 orders per day, so it’s possible for us now to do. But even when we grow, expand, I would still keep my finger on the pulse I should think.
It’s the only way - We all can’t behve like Amazon afterall, some of us must genuinely care for the people who in effect pay our bills
Best of luck,
_J
