Can i sell products that have a brand on?
Hi,
As you can probabuly guess im new here to selling and im currently looking for products to sell, and i have come accros this a lot, some products when i type the AZIN code come up with a box saying apply to sell, Im guessing this is because the seller has a patent on the listing however some listings let me proceed with selling the item but on the listing it says that the product has a brand however the packaging and item is the same as the one i have found from the manufacturer. So is it okay for me to list these products? I can provide an example of what i mean if needed but im not sure if links are allowed here. Thanks for any help

The best way to list is to go to inventory - add a product and type in the barcode number from your product in your hand
Click on the listing If there is one already and if the brand and package quantity etc etc all match, list yours too
If any details are different, don’t list

Ok, I’m assuming that were talking “known” brands here…
If when you try to list it, it says “Apply to sell”, then you do indeed need to apply.
They will probably ask you for a recent invoice showing at least 10 (I think, it may be more) units.
As long as you can provide this, then you shouldn’t have a problem. But apply for one and see what they want.
As you get more established, you probably won’t need to do this, as they tend to automatically allow based on your record.
However, do be aware, that there are some brands out there, such as Apple, that are extremely difficult to get on to sell. And don’t list against things that appear to be that brand, but actually aren’t.
If you have not already, then go through seller university. It gives you most of the basics on how to sell here. Link at the bottom of Seller central.
