FBA customer returns & Product Serial Numbers to stop fraudulent returns
Your message conveys your concern effectively, but here's a slightly refined version for clarity:
"I'm curious if there's a possibility to input product serial numbers when dispatching products for FBA. Similarly, if a customer returns a product, could the Amazon team check the serial number before issuing a refund or rejecting the return if the serial number doesn't match? This could significantly reduce fraudulent returns, such as purchasing elsewhere, replacing new with old units, and returning them to Amazon. While we can manage this on FBM, FBA relies on Amazon customer service. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you."

Who or what was this in response to? It feels like part of a conversation.

if I recall correctly I think in the fba settings you can chose whether you want the returns to be sent to and processed by amazon, upon which they will grade the item "new/like new/used". I'd say processing them yourself is your best shot but amazon will always side with the customer to "keep great customer service". The one thing I'd suggest is perhaps look into the transparency babarcodes. They hold a serial number for the given item if I understood correctly. Not sure as to how this works though probably best to get a clarification from an amazon representative.
