Unable to withdraw funds

I have only recently started selling on amazon in October 2023. I was fully verified with KYC and my bank. But when i requested to withdraw some funds Amazon said my kyc was not done and my bank verification was not complete. Not a problem I updated it with pdf bank statements from my bank and uploaded clear picture of my passport.

But again amazon declined. This has now happened about 6 times since december 2023.

I am not a business and i am only selling from my house. I am not registered as a business either but i cannot access my funds.

Someone please help!

If you are not registered as a business on Amazon and you have listed itms " new" and not "used" - then you do not have the correct legal entity. Is this the case?

If you are buying (or making) goods to sell on for profit then you ARE a business (you don't have to be a ltd. co)... and you MUST, by law, be registered with HMRC as self-employed, probably sole-trader, and supplied your UTR to Amazon, and have a BUSINESS seller account on Amazon, not Individual seller account.

A lot of us sell from our own homes, it doesn't mean you are not a business. Your first step sounds as though you need to register with HMRC as sole-trader, get your UTR and continue the next steps of registering as a business with Amazon.

I had an issue with them before, I don't think that Amazon accept PDF files. I've just looked at an old case where I was trying to give them some docs and the advisor told me they only support the following files ...

I hope this helps

Also, just re-reading your first post, if they have only asked for your personal ID (passport) and bank statement, then that is for an individual seller account. Do you plan to only sell off your own second-hand items, such as books, DVDs, CDs etc ? If so that is OK, but is not sufficient for a business seller account if you plan to sell new goods for profit. As per my previous reply, you ARE a business if you are selling new goods for profit, and Amazon will need to have your UTR, if sole-trader to fully open your account
