FRAUDULENT RETURNS with no traceability - Amazon MFN Tier 5 (returns via Evri)

This new customer getting a refund as soon they open a return request policy is just taking the mick…We have received many MFN returns in the past week…all delivered by Evri by “Amazon MFN Tier 5”…This is the sticky part, the policy is supposed to cover sellers against fraudulent returns, but all these “Amazon MFN Tier 5” have no traceability on or within them…so how can we file SAFE-T claim without an order number?..So far, we’ve had a few fraudulent returns which we have had to cough up the return label cost for but couldn’t reclaim it through the SAFE-T process due to the label/packaging/missing enclosed documents…Can someone shed any light?..Amazon if you are reading this, please just reverse this policy which has just gone too far.

Our return labels from Evri have a senders (buyers) address on them so we use this with cross referencing the return page.

can you reconcile the tracking number with the approved returns requests and the labels generated for them?

The refund is not until the first scan, not as soon as they open the request.

You can scan the Every tracking barcode [and the RM ones too]
into the mange returns and it brings up the relevant order to cross reference.
I now have a scanner on my desk for this exact purpose.

*although annoyingly the barcode on the insert slip does not seem to work in this way

Putting aside this traceability issue…The whole Auto-Approved returns with Auto-refunds policy is flawed against sellers…The number of returns have shot through the roof with us bearing the brunt of it

I was just about to post about this myself when your similar post popped up.

My labels also do not have the buyer address on but against Reference 1 on the label is the RMA number you can use to search or at the bottom use the tracking code (enter without the dashes). Both will bring up the original order.

What concerns me though was the fact returns sent via Evri are addressed to ‘Amazon MFN Tier 5’ and not to me - why this should be so seems ridiculous. Returns sent back via Royal Mail are addressed to me.

I also do not like the fact that returns where Amazon has refunded on first scan also go from the ‘Pending Action’ tab to the ‘Closed’ tab in Manage Returns. If I do not actually get the return back because Evri/Royal Mail lose the parcel, how am I to know so I can start a SAFE-T claim?

I need some method to differentiate between items scanned on return and items actually received back. I would prefer such returns to stay in ‘Pending Action’ until I click a button to say ‘OK received’. Then if after a week or so, if an item has been returned but not received, I can start a SAFE-T claim.
