Refund to Gift Card?
Is it possible to refund to gift card. I’m not aware I have any control over this.
“Details: Customer already return the item with a tracking number. Please process the refund of the item through Amazon account as a gift card balance. And contact the sustomer directly. Thank you.”

The message which you received was not sent to you by Amazon. It was the buyer’s request forwarded to you by the Customer Service.
They are just referring you what exactly the buyer has told them.
Of course, as you know, you as the seller have no control over the refund process and it will be credited to the buyer’s original payment method.
