Account verification, want to make sure I'm submitting docs in the right way

Hi All - Currently sell on the UK and recently registered on Amazon US. Unfortunately, despite the accounts being linked, they are having trouble verifying my US account so before I re-submit I’d like to check that I’m sending the docs in the correct format.

  • Can I submit the PDF version of the utility bill & credit card bill (i.e. just download them from my utility/card providers?) or should I print it out, take a photo of each page, and submit that way?
  • In my initial submission I did not black out the values on my credit card bill. I am planning to print out, black out the values, and re-send to them as I’ve heard they don’t like it when the values are visible. Is that worth doing?
  • In my submitted utility bill, my middle name is missing. I’m thinking it’s worth the hassle to contact my provider and get them to add my middle name so it matches my Amazon account exactly?

For reference, here is the text of the email they sent me regarding the verification issues. The utility bill I sent was an e-statement (i.e. the pdf I downloaded from my utility provider). It was not a screenshot, it included my name (but was missing my middle name)/address and did include all pages of the bill… I’m pretty sure there’s no issues with the credit card on file because it’s the same card I have on my UK account, and they successfully charged it for the professional seller fee.

“You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible.” It’s not that they don’t want the values, just that you can remove them if you want.

It might be worth it, but that depends on why the .com verification team rejected the documents. Often it’s better to send in more documents than required (e.g. an energy bill and a water bill)
