Bank only gives me statement but verification team refuse to accept it and keep asking for bank letter!

Hello,

Can someone please help me with this problem?

I have uploaded my bank statement 3 times for the proof of address and they keep saying it is invalid! I went to the bank twice, first time they printed a statement and stamped it, second time I went and told them Amazon is asking for a certified bank letter but the bank said we don’t give bank letter we can certify and sign the stamp to prove it is original and this is what we do for other organization like HMRC and it is accepted by them. I uploaded it again yesterday and today got another generic email from verification team asking for a certified bank letter!!! They don’t even provide an explanation which is rude and frusrating. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Many thanks

On your bank statement the data must match 100% and I mean 100%. The case must be the same, spaces, spelling, any abbreviations etc. All must match your Amazon account.

When Amazon asked us for a bank statement a couple of months ago we uploaded it and was surprised that it was rejected. When we checked the photo we took you had to zoom into some of the details to read it. I think it was because it was not easy to read not because anything was wrong with it.

My partner loaded Adobe Scan onto her phone and used this to scan the same statement in and this was readable without zooming in. So just check to make sure the statement you uploaded is easily readable and doesn’t require any effort by Amazon to read it.

Are you registered as a private seller or a business seller ? Does the bank details match your legal entity ?

I just called the bank and they said they can’t change my address from all capital as the address always comes like that! Now I can’t change it on Amazon either! What should I do?
Is there any phone number for the seller team that anyone knows please?

Then you definitely have to have a business account…

Have you sent in every page of the bank statement rather than just the first page as that makes a difference (for a reason I don’t really understand!)

An Amazon business account not a banking one…

As an aside, if you get a starling business account there’s almost no charges

Yes I have registered a business account with Amazon that is why they want to verify my details. My status as a seller is ‘Individual’

Is the name identical? Middle names etc, no initials?

I’m not certain printed statements from inside the bank are accepted, can you not download one?

Thanks to all of you who replied and tried to help.
I just printed another statement in colour and I will take it again to the bank to get it certified. Hopefully that was the issue.

If you can print one off, download the pdf of the proper statement not just the transaction list and submit that, you don’t need a bank stamp
