Private Label / FBA / Barcodes
Hi All,
I am about to send in my private label product and sell via FBA.
I have my own product barcode. My question is, do I need a “FBA barcode” as well?

If there is a barcode on the product, you can choose to commingle (look it up), this will mean you don’t need to label it with a FNSKU label.
There are drawbacks to commingling but if you are confident you will be the only seller, it should be ok.

When you create fba shipment, it automatically generates all details onto the label required for fba. Just print them and stick onto the products. Make sure that the barcodes are straight and visible.

Just to put my 2 pennies worth in on this, we have used FBA a few times, and where products have bar codes on them already, and have been set up properly on Amazon using this bar code, we have simply sent the stock straight in without any labelling, it works fine, and no need to re-label at all. For products that did not have any barcodes, we simply took the bar codes that were provided by Amazon during the shipment build up, printed them, and put them on the products. For future shipments we had this same bar code printed on the boxes when we had the items manufactured, and therefore no need to put any further labels on these products either. This post makes interesting reading, but boy what a run round for a fairly simple question ?
