Read onlyI am a seller selling and shipping directly from INDIA. (Ethnic wear lehenga choli)
why the buyer is asking for a prepaid return label?
while I have already shared the domestic return address using buyer-seller messages?
who pays the return shipping cost?
why did Amazon refund the return order automatically?
Fashion is free returns so you have to provide the label, the domestic return address should be set up in your account
As CherryTree said, if you're selling in the Fashion category on Amazon, the return has to be paid for by the seller regardless of the return reason.
Amazon should automatically provide the buyer with a returns label that they will charge you for once it has received a scan from the courier to say it's been sent.
There is also a related policy called 'Refund on First Scan' by which Amazon will automatically refund any order that has its return label receive a carrier scan on its way back to the return address. If the item comes back in damaged condition, missing parts, or just isn't the correct item at all, you're then supposed to take a photo of the return packaging showing the returns label, a photo showing the problem with what is returned, and them open a Safe-T claim to get reimbursed by Amazon.
Fair warning, Amazon will break their own rules and the local law when it comes to the amount they reimburse you for. You will not be reimbursed for the amount you're entitled to withhold.
