Trademark Logo Misuse KMS

Hi all

I’ve recently got a product policy problem regarding “Trademark Logo Misuse”, the listing is for a KMS prodcut, and the Trademark Logo Misuse is for KMS brand. I have spent the whole day trying to reach out to Seller Support but I haven’t been able to sort this out. So just to clarify, the listing is for a KMS product, and the brand on the listing is KMS, so I don’t understand what the problem is! KMS isn’t one of those gated brands, and you can get approved to sell KMS products on Amazon, as I am, so this situation is really confusing. They’re asking me to provide a letter of authorisation to use the KMS logo on the listing, or change the brand name, and neither of those solutions make any sense to me, why would a letter of authorisation be required to use KMS logo on a listing for a KMS product, bear in mind I’m not even the seller who created this asins, and I no longer sell it, the listing was just sitting on my account as an inactive listing. Has anyone here dealt with a similar problem? I’d appreciate any advice on this subject.

SOLUTION:

This is a final update to provide information to any seller who may come across this case after encoutering a similar problem.

The problem in this case was that whoever had created this ASIN used the wrong brand name, so “KMS California” instead of just “KMS”, so more like a typo rather than an outright logo misuse. Now, you’d think this would be easy to solve; just correct the brand name, apparently that’s not possible! I spent way too much time attempting to do just that as I thought it was the more rational option, but it appears that the best course of action would have been to appeal the violation and explain the situation, then seller support will get back to you and alllow you to delete the listing and acknowledge the situation which will in turn restore your account’s health to the state that it was before.

Are you willing to share the ASIN, as that might answer some likely queries?

That’s not the ASIN, it looks like it’s part of the barcode. An ASIN would begin with a B

Can’t fathom that one out at all, least of all the fact it’s got a .in format ASIN. Especially as it looks like B00N1Q2UEE is the equivalent on .co.uk

Does the violation not go away if you delete the product from your inventory? I know some don’t, I wasn’t sure if this was one.
