Desperately need help with getting approval - Toys & Games

Good afternoon everyone,

I desperately need some help as I’m trying to list my first product which is just a plush toy that I never thought would be an issue with listing but Amazon has said I need approval for this. After submitting 4 invoices with the exact amount I’m trying to send and the pictures they’ve also rejected, I’m really unsure of what to do.

They came back with the following - Invoice:

  • You have provided an unacceptable document. Please provide an invoice reflecting the itemized list of goods purchased and the terms of sale.

Product Packaging Picture:
– The images provided do not meet the EU labeling guidelines, which state that the label must contain the business name and address of the manufacturer. Please provide product images that meet this requirement.
– The images provided do not contain all sides of the product. Please provide images of the physical product, showing all sides of the product with product information.
– The product shown in the product packaging photos cannot be found on the invoice that you submitted. Please provide an invoice showing the purchase of the same product shown in your product packaging photos.
– The images provided do not meet the labeling requirements, which state that the label must contain a certification mark. Please provide images showing all sides of the product packaging including the appropriate certification mark.

Would anyone be so kind to take a look at the invoice for me and the pictures to show me where I’m going wrong and how to resolve this please? It would be highly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Sam.

Hi Sam,

I’m an experienced Toys & Games Sellers so I’ll be able to give you some helpful advice.

Certification marking - Required for all Toys sold in EU & UK. Known as CE / UKCA / UKNI (Thanks Brexit). All Toys & Games (with a few specific exceptions) need to be sold with the correct marking on the product packaging or on an additional tag. If you don’t have it you are able to do it after buying the product.

With regards to your other questions I’d need to see the invoice and product you have before I could give you some exact advice.

I’m infrequently on this forum but I have a YT channel which is like watching paint dry but it may help you out {Moderator Edit (Jessica} external link removed}

If the invoice says “commercial” or “pro forma” then that’s a reason for them not accepting. Likewise if it is from somewhere like Alibaba / Aliexpress you will have some difficulty.

As for the images, they are quite clear in their requests - are you saying you have all the required info shown in the images?

Do you have insurance?
It is your responsibility to ensure the toys meet the required CE tests, you need the conformity documents and you need to know its a CE mark not a China Export mark.
Sounds like you need to do a whole lot more research before looking to sell anything else if I’m honest.
Do you have an EU address for your labels?
You can’t just stick a label on, it needs to be properly attached, on a soft toy probably sown in to the toy I would imagine

The other people are not you. If they choose to run the risk of being sued when a child has an issue with the toy then thats their risk, are you really prepared to break the law just because someone else does it?

Plus, do you know whats on their labels? Do you know if they have the right documents at home?

They are not a genuine manufacture then. Cut your loses. There is no way a genuine manufacturer wouldn’t know about this.

In order to sell toys (and other things) anywhere, you need to know about safety regulations and you need to comply with the law and it’s your responsibility. That’s why your labels aren’t accepted, because they don’t comply with the law, we don’t need to see them at the moment, every bit of advice here is totally valid.

Yes the invoice bit is more complicated but you’ve also been given the relevant info as to what the invoice needs too.

None of us sellers make the laws, we don’t make amazon rules either. Don’t shoot the messengers for giving you the help you asked for

Hi Skyle

As per what people have said above, I would honestly get rid and go to the manufacturer direct rather than through AliBaba.

With an AliBaba invoice, you will get rejected everytime. Honestly, we have all seen these problems before.

Please take what people have said in a non-defensive way. We would all love to say that we haven’t made a mistake in business but believe me, you are about to make a huge mistake thinking anything else will be accepted by Amazon.

Sorry to say but these people really know their stuff.

Kind regards
