Read onlyHi everyone,
We've recently joined Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) and are using Royal Mail as our carrier. However, we've been facing issues with their scanning process. They do scan the manifest in front of us at collection, but on certain days, it seems that some packages aren’t getting scanned until much later. This is creating problems with Amazon's tracking and shipping requirements, and I’m worried it might impact our SFP status.
For those of you also using Royal Mail for SFP, have you run into similar issues? How are you ensuring your shipments are scanned on time every day? Are there any specific instructions or protocols that you’re following to help with timely scans?
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi!
I also recently joined SFP using Royal Mail. I had a big issue with Saturdays as we don't get collections on weekends, so I was taking them do the sorting office, where the guy would scan them, but then they wouldn't go through as on-time. Turns out they were just sitting there until Monday.
I had a chat with the sorting office and the scan they do when they take your parcel isn't counted as a courier scan. It's an acceptance scan, to show they're now responsible, where as the courier scan will be the start of its journey through the network. A bit dumb if you ask me, but there we are.
So my postie collecting them at 4pm every day means nothing. It's when he arrives back at the depot and they get scanned there (usually a few hours later) that Amazon says the first scan has taken place (which you will need to be before midnight).
I've not really answered why yours aren't getting properly scanned, but hopefully I've explained the system, as all my failed Saturdays delayed me from completing the trial period.
How did you overcome it? Did the depot agree to scan them same day Saturday, or something else?
