Product authenticity complaint
Had a return request for a dvd this week, to which I accepted but they had to pay the return postage.
They responded to say they are not paying the postage.
The original complaint was that the dvd was a copy.
I’ve been selling (mostly second hand) dvds, cds and videos for the last 20+ years. And would never sell a counterfeit product.
Couple of messages later they have now complained to Amazon and I’ve had a performance notification to which my listing has been removed, even thou I only had the one listed.
This was a £4 Dvd with free postage.
Do I need to follow this up? Any help much appreciated, cheers.

Unless you supply Amazon everything they asked for, your listing will remain blocked and any additional complaints could possibly cause your entire account to get deactivated.
So it’s up to you whether you take any action, many sellers will simply delete the listings with complaints from their inventory and wait for the defects to automatically disappear from their dashboard after 180 days.
If you would like to appeal, check out my thread with detailed instructions how to successfully handle Customer Product Condition Complaints. The subject is “Used Sold As New”, but the base is the same:

thank you very much for your help. They have now opened and a-z claim, so have to contend with that now.
