Why does everything on Amazon have to be so complicated?
Recently there have been a few posting on this forum about emails being received from Amazon about products being in the wrong category.
I assume (probably wrongly!) that the "Product Tax Code" may have something to do with this. I pressed the question mark symbol next to "PTC" and got the information :"Enter the product tax code supplied to you by Amazon.com"
As far as I know I have not been supplied with this .
I then went on to Seller University!!! If you type in "Product Tax Code" you get 246 articles about the subject. Short of reading all 246 articles I could find no way of find out anything about PTC. (The first 10I looked at had no relevance.)
Can anybody say whether or not the PTC box is something I should fill in for selling second hand books
Incidentally I notice that 2 of the "Similar Discussions" which have come up by the side of the box I am now typing in are headed "Why is selling on Amaon so complicated " and "Why does everything on Amazon have to be so soul destroying" !!!!
For second-hand books you need to select 'A_Books_Gen' from the dropdown., when listing the book.
I agree, everything is so complicated these days. Just glad I no longer sell overseas.

I understand you are not sure if you should fill out the PTC box for second hand books.
